PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) has 350 more industrial units currently under construction, as reported on June 24.
Thousands of people now have work options thanks to these recently constructed firms in the economic zones, and 350 more industrial units are being built in other economic zones, according to KP-EZDMC CEO Javed Iqbal Khattak. These ongoing developments are part of a broader strategy to enhance the industrial sector within the province.
Khattak also highlighted that work on new economic zones, including the Daraban Economic Zone, Buner Marble City, and Karak Salt and Gypsum City, will commence this year. The initiation of these projects underscores the proactive approach of KP-EZDMC in fostering industrial growth and economic stability in the region.
Over the past four years, KP-EZDMC has made significant strides in the industrial sector, establishing 500 new industrial units with a total investment of PKR 450 billion. This substantial investment has resulted in the creation of thousands of jobs, contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of the province. The development of these industrial units has not only provided employment but has also stimulated local economies and encouraged further investment.
Under the leadership of Khattak, KP-EZDMC has established nine industrial zones. The company’s financial performance has been noteworthy, generating PKR 10 billion in revenue, out of which PKR 7 billion has been allocated for development projects. The remaining PKR 3 billion has been secured as profitable capital, reflecting the company’s efficiency and profitability.
The efforts of KP-EZDMC have set the province on a robust path toward industrialization and economic growth. By creating a conducive environment for industrial development, the company is playing a crucial role in transforming the economic landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
