A total of 300 acres of land will be developed for Marble City Karachi. Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, SACM, expects the project to attract US$50 million in investment

Investments for this project are expected to amount to approximately $50 million. As he stated at today’s Marble City Karachi road show in a local hotel, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to CM Sindh, expressed his confidence in the development of the city.

A briefing given on this occasion by Mr. Abdul Aleem Uqaili, CEO of Sindh Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC), informed the participants that Marble City Karachi (MCK) is planned to be developed on 300 acres as an industrial estate in Sindh to improve the marble and granite industry and other allied industries.

Through a PPP framework, the project involves the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer of the assets.

With state-of-the-art infrastructure, utilities at your doorstep, and easy access to the Karachi ports, this project is ideally located on the Northern Bypass that links Karachi to the rest of the country.

There will be an uplift in the value-added marble sector and allied industries in Sindh as a result of the project. Over 50 of these firms are expected to participate in this project, resulting in an estimated investment of USD 50 million.

Under the Public Private Partnership model, the project has been launched. During the International Competitive Bidding process, the RFP for the project was released on 17th November 2022. In addition to Khaleej Times, Dawn, and all leading national dailies, advertisements were published. You can download the RFP from our website.
