Usman Dar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, announced that 2022 will be designated as the Year of Youth in the country. Multiple activities, including jobs, skills, cultural fairs, and sports events, will be carried out to enable the youngsters to find work throughout the year, according to the PM’s assistant. He also stated that Pakistan will host the 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministerial Conference in August of this year, which will include Youth Ministers from 54 countries.
The Special Assistant added that every month, two to three billion rupees are allocated among the youth for entrepreneurship and that over eight billion rupees have been distributed in the last three months, according to data from the ‘Kamyab Jawan’ Program. He said that with this amount, 5,000 new enterprises were founded and 15,000 workers were hired. He indicated that sixty thousand scholarships are being awarded under the ‘Kamyab Jawan’ Skills
Under the ‘Kamyab Jawan’ Sports Talent Hunt Program, young players who are interested in sports are also fully supported to grow. He stated that talent assessments are being conducted in twelve sports. “The government wishes to make athletes able to earn a living in a dignified manner.
