To commemorate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, various events will be held in Islamabad and throughout the country on International Women’s Day (Tuesday) 2022. ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’ is the theme of the day, which encourages climate action for women, by women. According to UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahous, International Women’s Day is a moment to remember that we have the answers not just for SDG 5, but also for all 17 Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030. She said in a statement, “I am looking forward to working with you all to achieve that goal.”.
