IUB Students to Initiate Artificial Rainfall Resettlement in Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur: Gov. Punjab and Chancellor Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman praised IUB’s efforts to preserve and protect the environment, according to a news report.

IUB’s project concerning Cholistan’s resettlement through artificial rains has caught the attention of the Punjab Government.

Global warming and climate change are long-term issues, but many people don’t realize that they’re causing extreme drought conditions around the world. Artificial rain is created artificially by methods that include cloud seeding, where chemicals are introduced into clouds to encourage precipitation, and irrigation, where water is delivered to plants at controlled amounts and times.

A group of 57 universities devoted to the protection and preservation of the environment would be a welcome step in this regard. His statement implies the Punjab government is paying special attention to the proposal made by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to resettle the Cholistanis by artificial rainfall.

An excellent initiative is the establishment of student organizations at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. By participating in these student societies, students will demonstrate their leadership skills and character development.

As a result of his visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, he expressed his views to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob.

Under the previous tenure of Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman as Federal Minister for Education, a special development package was used to construct the new Faculty of Management Sciences building.

In his remarks, he expressed his enthusiasm at the launch of the first nursing school in any public sector university and engaged the faculty and students in a detailed discussion about the college’s educational activities and practical training. This was also the occasion for launching the Climate Change Web Portal developed by the Inter-University Consortium.

A briefing about the Hepatitis Free Campus Campaign was provided to him at the University Health Center. On Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus, he spoke to a large audience of faculty members and students later in the day.

On this occasion, 400 office bearers of the student societies were sworn in and the best-performing students of the year 2021 were awarded the Roll of Honor Award.

A total of 13,000 solar units are being used at the University’s Solar Park to produce power, which is a record for the University.

In addition to informing government representatives about the launch of the first nursing college at any public university, the college was officially opened.
