DG FGEHA Urges Completion of Delayed Housing Projects

Islamabad: On July 11, a meeting known as the All Project Progress Review was convened in the Committee Room of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) under the direction of Director General Capt. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal (retd). The purpose of the conference was to discuss the progress and status of several important housing projects.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineer, Technical Director, and Project Directors, who provided comprehensive updates on the F-14/F-15 Housing Project, Green Enclave One/Sky Garden Housing Project. These updates included current progress, challenges faced, and proposed solutions to expedite project completion.

Key directives were issued during the meeting to address land possession issues in Sector G-15/3 and Sector G-14/1. The Director General emphasized the importance of resolving these issues swiftly to avoid further delays. He stressed that all necessary facilities, including basic infrastructure, utilities, and amenities, must be provided to the allottees during the development of apartments and sectors to ensure a high standard of living.

Capt Muhammad Zafar Iqbal commended the exceptional performance of all directors and staff involved in these projects. He acknowledged their hard work and dedication but underscored the urgency of expediting the completion of delayed projects. He emphasized that timely completion is crucial to meet the housing needs of federal government employees and to uphold the authority’s commitment to delivering quality housing solutions.

Special attention was given to several projects requiring immediate action. These include the Kashmir Avenue project, Skyline Apartments, Chaklala Housing Scheme, and Lifestyle Afro project. The Director General issued a directive for the immediate commencement of work on these projects, in line with the decisions made by the Executive Board. He stressed the need for a coordinated and focused effort to ensure that these projects progress without further delays.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to overcoming challenges and accelerating the pace of development. The Director General reiterated the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving to achieve the set targets. He assured all stakeholders that the FGEHA would continue to prioritize the timely completion of housing projects to provide federal government employees with quality living spaces.
