CDA Collaborates with UK Firm to Launch Premier Safari Park in Islamabad

Islamabad: In a significant development for the Capital’s recreational and tourism sector, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Islamabad has announced a strategic partnership with the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to establish a world-class safari park in the city. This collaboration is poised to bring a premier tourist attraction to the heart of Islamabad, enhancing the city’s appeal as a vibrant destination for both locals and international visitors. The initiative was officially reported on July 31, marking a pivotal step forward in the city’s urban development and recreational planning.

The proposed safari park is envisioned to be a state-of-the-art facility that will not only offer a unique wildlife experience but also contribute significantly to the city’s green spaces. The project is a testament to the CDA’s commitment to expanding Islamabad’s leisure and tourism infrastructure, providing residents and tourists with diverse recreational options that meet international standards. During a recent high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, detailed plans were discussed to ensure that the safari park will be developed in line with global best practices. This includes the integration of sustainable design principles and modern amenities that will make the park a premier destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

In addition to the safari park, the meeting also covered other key initiatives aimed at enhancing Islamabad’s urban landscape. One of the significant projects discussed was the enhancement of F-9 Park, one of the largest public parks in the city. The CDA is planning to upgrade the facilities at F-9 Park, ensuring that it continues to serve as a central hub for community activities and outdoor recreation. The revitalization of F-9 Park will likely involve the introduction of new attractions, improved landscaping, and better maintenance practices to preserve its natural beauty.

Furthermore, the CDA is also taking steps to improve healthcare facilities within the city, particularly focusing on the CDA Hospital. Plans are underway to revitalize the hospital’s infrastructure and services, with proposals for establishing a medical college within the hospital complex. This initiative reflects the CDA’s broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and financial sustainability across its various projects. By integrating educational facilities with healthcare services, the CDA aims to create a comprehensive medical hub that can cater to the growing needs of the city’s population.

These developments underscore the CDA’s ongoing efforts to transform Islamabad into a modern, well-equipped, sustainable city with high-quality living standards. Through strategic partnerships and forward-thinking initiatives, the CDA is setting the stage for a new era of urban development in the Capital.
