As soon as a new feasibility report of the project is completed, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will begin work on remodeling Kutcherry Chowk.
RDA spokesman Hafiz Irfan told this agency that the project had already been approved by the provincial government. The project will cost close to Rs5 billion. The transition of utility services, such as telephone, gas, and electricity, will begin soon, he said.
According to the spokesman, the RDA plan includes signal-free main squares, three underpasses for surrounding roads, and a flyover.
