ISLAMABAD: According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the 7th Avenue Interchange underpass will soon be open. There have already been a number of traffic loops and interchanges with traffic allowed to use them. (Reported by news source)
A CDA project completed on schedule was this one, which was completed on October 15. An impassioned speech was given by Imran Khan at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rs. 1.7 billion project in July of last year.
There has been a construction of an interchange near Aabpara, at the intersection of 7th Avenue, the Srinagar Highway, Khayaban-i-Soharwardi, and Garden Avenue. As per CDA officials, carpeting the underpass’s roads would begin today (Wednesday) and be completed in two days.
Shehbaz Sharif is expected to launch the CDA project any time next week, according to CDA management. Following a competitive process between the Frontier Works Organization and the National Logistics Cell, the NLC won the contract for the project after submitting the lowest bid.
