Islamabad: In an effort to cater to the growing vehicular traffic in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to construct the 7.8-kilometre long ‘Bhara Kahu Bypass’.
The Bhara Kahu area of Murree Road has evolved into one of the most troublesome public places in the federal capital over the past few years due to excessive traffic jams and constant hustle and bustle.
Because of the increasing population and the large number of people travelling to Murree and Azad Kashmir, Bhara Kahu has become a location of routine traffic jams and growing congestion, creating problems for travellers and residents alike.
In addition to benefiting people living in Bhara Kahu and its surroundings, the construction of the Bhara Kahu Bypass would also minimize the pain felt by tourists travelling to Murree as well as residents of Azad Kashmir.
As of now, the civic agency has placed a sign on the roadside indicating that it will appoint an agency to execute the project. The details of the Bhara Kahu Bypass will be revealed by the civic agency in the near future.
