Islamabad High Court Informed that FBR’s Rs3.5tr tax Claims stuck in litigations

The High Court of Islamabad was notified on Tuesday that tax revenues from the Federal Revenue Commission (FBR) of approximately 3.5 trillion rupees were involved in the proceedings. This was announced during a meeting of high-ranking government officials convened by Judge Athar Minallah, amid concerns from the PBRcabinet about the unresolved nature of the multi-billion rupee issue.

Fawad Chaudhry, the Federal Information Minister, Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan, and the chairmen of the Federal Bureau of Revenue, Pakistan Competition Commission, and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority attended. The registrar of the IHC entrusted the officials concerned with updating the meeting on the status of the pending cases. AGP Khalid provided details about pending FBR litigations and customs cases during the meeting.
