Pakistan Railways To Take Initiative of Upgrading All Major Railways Stations

As a result of the instructions given by Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister of Railways, the improvement was created. In addition to Quetta, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Karachi, several other stations will also be upgraded.

As part of the effort to improve the PR’s performance, the federal government is fixing Balochistan’s railway infrastructure so that passengers have a safe and efficient transit route. In addition, he revealed that several tracks are being restored on the Jacobabad-Sibi line, Sibi-Quetta-Chaman, Spezand-Taftan, and Sibi-Hurnai.

He said that the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) had been awarded the contract for rehabilitating the Sama Satta-Amruka section in March 2021 at a cost of Rs 7,735 million.

Separately, the Pakistani Senate passed the Pakistan Railways Amendment Bill, 2022, which lays out the consequences of targeting railroad installations. Under the new law, those who damage railroad property will be liable for life in prison or the death penalty if they are found guilty.
