PHA Receives Bids for Fun Lands in Lahore's Major Parks

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) in Lahore has received technical bids from five companies competing to establish two large-scale entertainment parks, locally referred to as “fun lands.” These new developments are planned for two of Lahore’s prominent parks, Greater Iqbal Park and Jilani Park, and are expected to enhance the city’s recreational infrastructure significantly.

According to details shared on August 22, these fun lands will be substantial upgrades, offering residents and visitors exciting activities. The Greater Iqbal Park Funland will be developed on approximately 75,850 square feet of land, while Jilani Park’s funland will span 10 Kanal. To acquire the land, the leasing agreement for Greater Iqbal Park is set at PKR 30 million annually, and for Jilani Park, the lease will be PKR 12 million per year.

PHA officials have set a completion timeline of 120 days for the chosen company. Once completed, these fun lands will introduce modern entertainment experiences, including trampolining, rope courses, wall climbing, and immersive indoor 5D gaming. According to PHA’s Director of Coordination, Hassan Ahmed, these attractions are designed to offer visitors a wide range of thrilling activities.

In addition to the physical features, the Fun Lands will incorporate an online booking system, allowing visitors to book rides in advance. This system is expected to streamline the visitor experience, reducing wait times and ensuring smoother access to the park’s attractions. A joint committee will be formed to determine ticket prices, to ensure that the pricing remains affordable and accessible to the general public.

These new additions to Lahore’s parks are part of a broader effort to improve the city’s leisure facilities, catering to both residents and tourists. With a focus on providing high-quality, modern entertainment, these fun lands are poised to become popular destinations for families and adventure-seekers.
