The Ramazan package for Punjab is expected to be worth Rs8 billion this year

LAHORE: According to the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, the Punjab government promised the masses a mega Ramazan package worth on Sunday. According to CM Punjab, edibles will be provided in Ramazan bazaars according to the prices of 2021.

An amount of Rs8 billion has been allotted for the Ramazan package according to the Punjab chief minister. In the Ramadan bazaars, the province will provide edible items to its residents at the same price as last year.

Among the items available at Agri Fair Price Shops at discounted prices are potatoes, onions, and tomatoes, said the chief minister. A 10-kg flour bag will cost Rs375, and 13 other items including rice, rice flour, and vegetable oil will be offered at discounted prices.

Ramazan Bazaars will feature discounted rates for vegetables, fruits, and pulses due to subsidies worth Rs1.25 billion, according to the chief minister.

According to the CM, from Sha’aban 25 onwards, 317 Ramazan bazaars will be open throughout the province. He announced that the bazaars would commence at 9:00 am and last until Iftar.
