1952 – Famous Cricketer & Politician Imran Khan Was Born
Imran Khan was born on 5 October 1952 in Lahore, Pakistan. Imran Khan is also known by the name of “Baba-e-Cricket” in Pakistan & most Asian countries because Imran Khan has spent 25 Years in Cricket. He achieved many laurels during his cricketing career. Imran Khan is the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he started in 1996 after retiring from cricket. Now he is the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
1994 – World Teachers’ Day Announced
Teachers’ contributions and achievements, along with their concerns and objectives in education, have been recognized by UNESCO since 1994 through World Teachers’ Day. Since 1966, the UNESCO Recommendation on the Status of Teachers was adopted at a special intergovernmental meeting held on that date. Thus, it is fitting that we celebrate Teachers Day on October 5.
