LAHORE: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has been asked to help Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) ensure transparency in its day-to-day operations.
The delegation from PITB met with Ghufran Ahmed, the newly-installed MD of Wasa, at the agency’s head office on Tuesday. In order to ensure transparency in the organization, MD Wasa said the PITB would provide technical assistance.
According to him, PITB made recommendations to ensure transparency for the proposed solution, adding that Wasa Lahore would move forward with its digitization efforts.
MD Wasa also said Wasa Lahore will use modern technologies to prevent generators and diesel theft. Wasa Lahore will use e-challan service for new connections and other matters, MD Wasa said at the meeting.
Wasa will be able to increase revenue through e-challans, he added.
Usman Waheed, Rabia Tariq, Tayyaba Jameel and Mudassar Javed attended the meeting along with Director Saleem Ashraf, XEN Mudassar Javed, Sameera Iftikhar and other officials.
