International Students’ Day is an annual celebration of the student community that takes place on November 17th. International Students’ Day is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate student activity around the world, as well as to take pride in the accomplishments that students have made with their collective voice.
The purpose of the day is to put a special emphasis on ensuring that all children have access to education. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, who termed students the “lifeline of the nation,” says providing the greatest educational facilities to children is a top priority for the government. He said the objective of International Students’ Day is to provide opportunities and to urge society to hasten efforts to preserve the rights of all students.
