The Pakistani nation is celebrating the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal as 9 Nov 2021 will mark the 144th birthday of the national poet.
There is no need to introduce Allama Iqbal. Iqbal Day is observed in Pakistan every year on November 9th. Allama Iqbal was a key figure in the movement for Pakistanis to have their own homeland. He was a prominent politician who gave the idea of an independent state for Muslims of the subcontinent. Iqbal’s poetry is composed of both Urdu and Persian. Iqbal is also remembered as the Poet of the East and as the Thinker of Pakistan.
His poems were concerned with people’s compassion. His other books of Persian poetry include Rumuz-i-Bekhudi, Payam-i-Mashriq, and Zabur-i-Ajam. Iqbal’s Urdu works are Bang-i-Dara, Bal-i-Jibril, Zarb-i Kalim and a part of Armughan-e-Hijaz. Special events are held in schools, colleges, and other institutions on this day to spread the word about Iqbal’s inspirational messages.
Iqbal died on April 21, 1938, and is buried in Lahore’s Badshahi Mosque. He has passed away from this world, but his motivational poetry and writings will remain in the hearts of his admirers.
