Space-Moon-Photos

On 26th October 1959 the first photography of the far side of the moon. This was the incident that happened when the Lunik III was sent on the earth through radio signals. The Soviet was the one who basically capture the photo. The picture was taken three weeks ago from the Lunik 3. Luna 3 was the third spacecraft to reach the moon and the first to send images of the far side of the moon.

The images were loud and indistinct, but because Earth’s moon always shows the same face, they offered views of a part of the moon that had never been seen before. They were not seen in public until they appeared briefly on the midnight news on Russian television.

The Moon always facing away and that’s the reason the far side of the moon has seemed from the earth with fewer landmarks than the visible side. However, it contains a large “sea” about 298 km in diameter, which the Russians called the Moscow Sea. The eight major features were observed.
