Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on Thursday a trial run for Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport would begin within the next week. Pre-shipment inspection of metro buses for the new metro project was completed by the bus company.
The last station would be near Chungi No. 26 at the Islamabad Airport. There would be 30 buses on this route. CDA intends to dramatically improve the transport infrastructure in Islamabad.
The CDA has completed third-party inspections of buses used in the project in China, according to a spokesman. First of all, at least 15 orange buses painted with the Pakistani flag will be sent out by March 15 and should arrive in Islamabad within 20 days.
Between April 15 and 20, Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport will be directly connected by regular metro buses. It had been anticipated that bus service would begin on March 23 but a number of unavoidable reasons delayed it.
