Rawalpindi: Asif Mehmood, chairman of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi, chaired a meeting here on Tuesday and directed the officers to make Rawalpindi city as green and beautiful as possible.
In order to reduce air pollution and make Rawalpindi greener, the Rawalpindi Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has been working on a number of initiatives.
Present at the event were the Director General of PHA, Director of Horticulture, Director of Administration and Finance, as well as other officers from the organization.
In a briefing, the DG provided a status report of the authority’s performance, ongoing projects, and pending issues.
While appreciating the performance of the authority, the chairman issued instructions to the officers to make the city green and beautiful. He also instructed them to plant as many saplings as possible as part of an ongoing plantation campaign.
