Apni Chat Apna Ghar Punjab's New Housing Project

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, has announced a big plan to build 100,000 homes for people with low incomes.

While leading a meeting in Lahore today about the “Apni Chaat Apna Ghar” project, the chief minister asked for a detailed plan to carry out the promise to build 100,000 homes.

An agreement was made at the meeting to build more than 3000 homes for poor people in each district of Punjab.

In just six weeks, she told the people in charge to make model homes and keep the monthly payments and down payments low.

The Chief Minister told officials to put building standards and long-term use at the top of their list of priorities for these homes.

In the state, the “Sarkein Bahaal-Punjab Khushaal” project has also begun.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif asked that road projects be finished and asked for a report on all of Punjab’s road bridges.

She stressed how important it was to do studies right away for building and fixing up road bridges.

The chief minister also ordered that motorways be built on five important connecting roads. Within six months, the goal is to finish over 153 road construction projects in Punjab.
