LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa has instructed to set up a system for submitting online applications. He gave these directions while presiding over a meeting here on Sunday.
Commissioner Lahore administered Lahore Development Authority one window cell’s team to start online submission of applications service for citizens next week. He said that this drive would help citizens to get assistance from LDA at their doorstep. Muhammad Ali Randhawa also ordered the IT wing to prepare the mobile application of LDA at the earliest. Mobile applications along with other facilities will also have service of online submission of applications, he directed.
Moreover, LDA DG ordered the assignment of permanent focal persons to sort out the issues related to Housing Directorate at One Window Cell. He also administered to get the ready procedure of identification easier by using IT, E-Khidmat, and other services that should be made more systematic with the assistance of PITB. He said that one window staff should understand the importance of citizen’s time and that no citizen should be called for visits, unnecessarily.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa also inspected the performance of One Window Cell. Additional DG Housing, Director One Window Cell, Director DG Headquarters, and Directors of IT wing took a part in the meeting.
PU students win speechmaking contest: A team of Punjab University (PU) students consisting of Syed Kamal Ahmad and Ms. Isha Fatima from PU Law College has won the ‘Team Trophy’ at the second All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2023 titled ‘Bayan-e-Pakistan’ arranged by PMAS Arid Agricultural University, Rawalpindi. Syed Kamal Ahmad was given the award of best speaker in the Urdu category while Ms. Isha Fatima won the award of best speaker in the English category.
