CBD Punjab Speeds Up Walton Road and Flyover Projects

Lahore: The Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran Amin has emphasized the urgent need to expedite the completion of Walton Road and Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover, as reported on July 22.

Acting on directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Amin instructed an increase in workforce and machinery to ensure timely delivery. CEO Imran Amin emphasized the significance of these infrastructure improvements at a thorough review meeting to evaluate the Walton Road Upgradation Project’s progress. Following the meeting, he conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction Walton Road and Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover. He highlighted the preemptive steps taken by CBD Punjab to minimize water buildup on Walton Road during the most recent monsoon season, emphasizing the organization’s dedication to both community well-being and operational excellence.

The Walton Road Upgradation Project seeks to raise the bar for urban development while promoting sustainable growth and a higher standard of living for those living in Lahore. Disposal stations are set to become functional in the coming days, further facilitating project completion. A significant highlight of the meeting was the update on the Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover, now 85% complete, with shuttering removal scheduled soon. This significant piece of infrastructure is essential for enhancing local connection and traffic flow.

The Walton Road and Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover projects are set to transform the urban landscape, enhancing connectivity and reducing traffic congestion. The successful completion of these projects will set a new standard for infrastructure development in Lahore. The projects also demonstrate CBD Punjab’s dedication to providing modern, efficient, and sustainable urban solutions for the city’s residents.
