The Special Assistant to Chief Minister speaking at a press conference alongside Irrigation Minister Mohsin Leghari highlighted that the government is committed to developing Punjab and improving irrigation reforms. According to the irrigation minister, Punjab was the sole province working on water development resources.
He went on to say that the Jalalpur canal irrigation system was a significant mega-project since it would feed 0.17 million acres of land in Pind Dadan Khan and Khushab through a 117-kilometer canal that would run from Rasul Barrage in the Jhelum canal. He also added that The PTI government has accomplished significant barrage restoration projects, such as the pan and barrage, which would improve irrigating 1.6 million acres of land.
