According to Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Director-General GoharNafees, 70% of Lahore is illegally developed. He said his department is drafting recommendations on how to deal with such a plethora of “illegality” legally or procedurally, speaking at a ceremony commemorating International Anti-Corruption Day.
During an unofficial discussion, the ACE director stated that the number of violent crimes would reduce if the district administration and revenue department improved the procedure for dealing with complaints presented by citizens.
“Land has been the cause of a large number of disputes,” he asserted. On the occasion, Nafees also presented the ACE’s yearly performance report. According to Nafees, the collaborative session was organized for all officers so that they could learn about the public’s impression of their organization.
