LAHORE: It has been approved by the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) to implement two development schemes in the school education and irrigation sectors, estimated to cost Rs31.851 billion.
In a meeting presided over by Chairman Planning & Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal, the 30th meeting of PDWP of the current fiscal year approved these schemes.
In addition to the development schemes approved, Getting Results: Access and Delivery of Quality Education Services (GRADES) (Revised) included construction of a residential colony at Batapur as well as improvements to Canal Colony Thokar Niaz Beg for Rs501.172 million.
A meeting of the Planning & Development Board was also attended by the provincial secretary of the relevant department, the members of the Planning & Development Board, and other senior representatives from relevant departments.
