Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has ramped up efforts to expedite construction on the Controlled Access Corridor Band Road project, responding to a deadline, according to a news article on July 30.
Progress updates were shared during a recent site visit by LDA Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq, along with LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed and other project officials. During the visit, it was observed that significant progress had been made. Asphalt laying and lane marking are almost complete, with continuous work ongoing on a 1.8 km section. Despite delays caused by monsoon rains, the team is diligently working to finalize the service road, ensuring that the project stays on track. The construction of the toll plaza from Babu Sabu Chowk to the corridor is also progressing steadily, indicating a concerted effort to meet the project’s deadlines.

Through the implementation of this software, the LDA has already recovered over PKR 22 million by conducting thorough record checks in Johar Town. To expedite application processes, LDA DG Tahir Farooq stressed the significance of implementing a one-click process for cleared files. He also pledged to maintain a paperless environment, highlighting the importance of thorough record checks and digital solutions in achieving these goals.
