Lt Gen Nadeem Give Control of Karachi Corps Command to Lt Gen Saeed

Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed was given command of the Karachi Corps by recently hired Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum. He handed over the Karachi Corps to Lt Gen Muhammad Saeed in a ‘Change of Command’ ceremony held in Karachi on Monday. Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum will start his new job on November 20.

The statement for the appointment of Lt General Nadeem Anjum as the next director-general (DG) of the ISI was released on Tuesday, October 26. After Prime Minister Imran Khan’s approval of the summary provided to him for the purpose.

Prior to his new appointment, Lt Gen Saeed was the president of the National Defence University. He was also a major general in the ISI and the director-general of the Pakistan Rangers in Sindh. He also served as the deputy assistant military secretary and private secretary to the chief of the army staff. According to media sources, his colleagues refer to him as the “man with the glacier brain but sharp reflexes.” He’s described as a good listener and observer who speaks clearly.
