WASA Project News – Initiated Projects of Rs32Bn on the Improvement of Sewerage

The Water and Sanitation Agency has started multiple projects worth Rs 32 billion to upgrade the province sewerage network. On Thursday, Wasa arranged an online meeting with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) at the WASA Head Office in this regard. WASA Lahore’s sewerage projects, including Shahdara, Ferozepur Road, and Hadiyara Drain Sewerage Projects, captivated IFC’s interest. After the meeting, MD WASA addressed the reporters that the sewerage projects will result in an eco-friendly city.

He said that the Ferozepur Road Project will benefit Gulberg, Garden Town, Faisal Town, Township, Model Town, Walton, and the outlying areas, the Hadiyara Drain Project will benefit the inhabitants of the nearby housing societies and the Shahdara Sewerage Project will benefit several low line areas including Clifton, Paracha, Siraj Park, Baradari, Jinnah Colony.

The virtual meeting was attended by Sehar Abbas from IFC, Director Planning Zeeshan Bilal, and Representative DG LDA Huma Khalid.
