On Wednesday, Nigeria’s High Commissioner, Abioye Mohammed Bello, paid a visit to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office. Both representatives addressed matters of mutual interest and decided to expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as agriculture, information technology, tourism, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
The Chief Minister encouraged Nigerian companies to invest in Punjab, by adding that construction on 12 special economic zones has begun in the last three years, and eight special zones of the industrialization process. A facilitation center has been assembled at the CM office to make it easier for local and foreign investors, and it is worth noting that an investment-friendly environment has been created, according to CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
The Nigerian High Commissioner said that “We want to promote cooperation with Punjab in various sectors and the steps were taken by CM Punjab are admirable”.
