Around 1,500 students from different schools participated in the Punjab Culture Day celebration wearing traditional Punjabi attire. The celebration was vibrant and colorful. Visiting the children, Minister of Culture Khayal Ahmad Kastro expressed gratitude to the chief minister for celebrating Punjab Cultural Day with such enthusiasm.
Every year on March 14th, more than one crore children of Punjab schools will celebrate Culture Day, and promise to do so every year. The event was held at the Punjab Cultural Complex. Now the Culture Day will be celebrated on an annual basis by all the students.
Minister for School Education Murad Raas, Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar, Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Usman, DGPR Saman Rai, DC Lahore Umar Sher Chattha, Executive Director Alhamra Zulfiqar Zulfi and DG Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC) Sughra Sadaf were present.
Punjabi Culture and Traditions Day is intended to draw attention to the enchanting culture and traditions of the land. The officers, police stations, and field divisions of the Lahore police participated in the Punjabi Culture Day festivities with full fervour wearing traditional Punjabi clothing and turbans.
Punjab Culture Day is an annual observance in Pakistan on 14th March that promotes the culture and history of the Punjabi people. The Punjabi people make up the majority of the population in Pakistan, as well as being very prominent throughout South Asia and across the world, making this an important occasion not only in Punjab but throughout all of Pakistan as well.
