Sultan Aurangzeb Alamgir Stormed The Fort Of Golconda In Hyderabad 

 

On this day (21 September 1687 CE {13/14 Dhul Qa’dah, 1098 AH}), the Mughal army under the command of Aurangzeb Alamgir took Golconda in Hyderabad during the early hours of the morning after it had been under siege for over eight months. Sultan Aurangzeb became the most powerful and wealthiest monarch in history following the defeat of the Mughal army in the south of India.

 

Manipur Is Merged With The Indian Union

 

During the Indian Union merger of princely states, Manipur became part of the Indian Union on September 21, 1949. Until 1891, it was an independent princely state, which the British invaded. There is a long and rich culture in Manipur, a picturesque state in north-eastern India. 

 

Earthquake In Taiwan

 

At approximately 1:47 AM local time on Sept. 21, 1999, an earthquake struck Taiwan referred to as the Chi-Chi earthquake. The earthquake killed over 2,400 people, injured over 11,305, and cost $300 billion New Taiwan dollars ($10 billion USD).
