Islamabad: Reports indicate that the CDA allocated Rs.22 million to build jogging tracks in various parts of Islamabad.
Green belts will be constructed in adjacent sectors G-7/1 and G-7/2 of Luqman Hakeem Road to serve as jogging tracks.
In addition, the tracks will be constructed on green belts adjacent to sector G-6/2 and Rescue 15 as well as on Faisal Avenue opposite PIMS Hospital and Fazal Haq Road.
Lastly, concrete is being poured on Fazal Haq Road directly adjacent to G-6/3 for jogging tracks.
In order to provide healthy activities to the citizens of Islamabad, CDA’s management has taken special measures. In addition to this, the jogging track construction in sectors F-7/4 and F-5 has been expedited.
Moreover, the staff of the Sanitation, Road and Marketing, MPO, Environment, City Sewerage and other departments have cleaned and broken all the drains across the city at the direction of the Capital Development Authority.
The work of clearing the culverts has also been started expeditiously. This includes removing trees and opening closed sewer lines to eliminate possible obstructions in drainage. Residents should not have to endure hardship in the monsoon season.
