LAHORE: In order to procure transformers, circuit breakers and other equipment for the transmission system of NTDC, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will give NTDC a loan of $189 million.
A Pakistani autonomous power transmission company under the Ministry of Energy, the National Transmission & Despatch Company carries out transmission of power across the country.
For the purpose of upgrading Pakistan’s power infrastructure, Dr Kazim Niaz, Secretary (Economic Affairs Division), and Asad Aleem, Dy Country Director of the Asian Development Bank, Islamabad, signed the loan agreement.
Moreover, the MD of NTDC, Engr Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, and Asad Aleem, Dy Country Director of Pakistan Resident Mission, ADB also signed a project agreement.
