Islamabad: Construction work on Park Road will begin as soon as the tender for the project is opened next week.
There are a number of important roads in the capital city, Islamabad, including Park Road. Since the federal capital has been expanded and different housing projects have been developed around the area, the area has witnessed an increase in vehicles daily. By adding lanes and widening the park road, CDA plans to expand the road.
Upon announcing the opening of the tenders next week, an official noted that the process would be open and transparent.
As a result of increased construction activities in the last couple of decades, vehicular traffic on this road has been experiencing traffic jams. This project will significantly improve traffic conditions on this road and make it a better choice for motorists,” he said.
In order for the contractors to complete the projects on time, they have developed a way to monitor construction pace.
It is urgently in need of rehabilitation and expansion since it serves residents of Banigala, Rawal Town, Lakhwal, Shahzad Town, Park Enclave, Taramari, and Chattha Bakhtawar. Also located along this road are the National Institute of Health, the Allergy Centre, the Federal General Hospital, and educational institutions, resulting in additional traffic congestion.
The proposed Project Concept-I would extend Park Road by one lane on each side, making it a three-lane artery, and repair work would be done on the current lanes. In the capital city of Islamabad, Park Road is an important street.
The development of housing projects around the area and the expansion of federal capital has recently increased the number of vehicles in the area.
In an official statement, the official said that road projects will be planted with trees to give them a green look. The plan is ready and will be implemented once the projects are completed.
