CEO LWMC Aims To Make Lahore Waste-Free

LAHORE: A phased elimination of waste was underway on Thursday throughout the city as part of the LWMC zero waste operation. All 9 towns of Lahore have been made zero waste. Ali Anan Qamar, CEO of LWMC, has been active in the field during the past 5 days to ensure the success of the zero waste campaign.

LWMC’s CEO provided instructions for cleaning commercial markets in the early morning, including sweeping along centre dividers and manually picking up juice boxes and shopping bags from green belts. Qamar said providing a clean environment for the citizens of Lahore was their top priority when it comes to the zero waste campaign.

Upon reviewing the cleaning arrangements in Karim Block Market, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, Ichhra, Wahdat Road and Bhekewal MORE along with various other parts of Iqbal Town, the CEO of the LWMC reviewed the arrangements for Karim Block Market, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, Ichhra, Wahdat Road and Bhekewal MORE.
