LAHORE: Punjab Police Inspector General Aamir Zulfiqar Khan has issued orders to maintain a high level of security and speed up search and combing operations.
A letter was sent via IG Punjab to all RPOs and DPOs of the province, including the Additional IG South Punjab and the CCPO Lahore.
The IG Punjab directed all DPOs in the province to work closely together with CTD and Special Branch to expedite search and combing operations in their districts and strictly monitor activities of banned organizations and individuals.
Aamir Zulfiqar Khan requested that daily reports be sent to the Central Police Office regarding search, sweep, combing, and intelligence-based operations.
As part of this process, Hotel Eye should also be fully utilized to verify hotels, bus stands, inns, and other sensitive areas, including slums.
Legal action should be taken against tenancy registration violations, according to the IG Punjab. A supervisory officer should regularly inspect the security arrangements of sensitive religious places, churches, and minority places of worship in all districts.
