LAHORE: LDA’s governing body has decided to register property dealers and agents to protect citizens from property fraud.
A decision was taken by the LDA Governing Body in its third meeting for the year 2022, which was held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of vice-chairman LDA Naeem-ul-Haq.
Governing Body of LDA approved a mechanism to prevent fraudulent practices among real estate agents of LDA schemes and made SOPs for registering real estate agents and property dealers with LDA.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairman Wasa Sh Imtiaz Mehmood, Engineer Amir Qureshi, MPA Sadia Sohail Rana, Additional DG Housing Qadeer Ahmed Bajwa, Additional DG (Headquarters) Farqalit Mir, Tariq Sana Bajwa, and Chief Metropolitan Planner Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi.
A basic salary of Rs 12,000 will also be given to the LDA employees as an Eid allowance. LDA 2022 joint venture regulations as well as digitization and automation of LDA were also approved at the meeting.
A member of the Governing Body was approved for inclusion in the Plot Auction Committee following the reorganization of the committee.
After issuing public notice, the master plan 2050 would be re-submitted to the Governing Body after it was handed over to the scrutiny committee.
