LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is considering launching a grand operation to root out illegal housing schemes and their developers who dupe the city’s citizens.
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) launched an operation against illegal private housing schemes on Tuesday. Several illegal constructions were demolished by the LDA staff as part of a grand operation targeting seven illegal schemes.
The LDA staff took action against Nasr Homes, Aftab Homes and Nauman Block, Nespak, GCP Post Office Site, Chinar Bagh, Aden Canal Villas, and under-construction structures. They demolished the sewage in these schemes and closed illegal shops and society offices.
Due to the LDA’s close monitoring of the situation, he directed officials concerned to launch a major operation against these schemes and their developers, without discrimination.
During different raids, the LDA demolished over dozens illegal building structures this week, according to a spokesperson for the authority. Different illegally constructed buildings have recently been demolished by officials from the Town Planning and Enforcement department.
This list has been published in all major news papers, and the LDA has threatened legal action against sponsors and dealers of illegal housing projects who advertise or deal with such projects.
A survey of high-rise commercial buildings has also been developed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to build a new commercialization policy for the city.
A real-time survey report is required of the survey teams to be able to provide a solution to the people’s problems faced with high-rise commercial buildings.
