LAHORE: Aamir Ahmed Khan, Director General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), visited One Window Cell on Monday.
As soon as the LDA DG heard the complaints of those present, he issued orders on the spot, directing a daily report to be sent to him about the complaints.
As part of the multidimensional functions it performs, the Lahore Development Authority improves the welfare of the general public and promotes the development of Lahore City.
One Window Cell was established in November 1999 in this regard. A completely automated operation and scheme for handling petitions/complaints were introduced by this LDA, and it has been working well until the establishment of a new One Window Cell.
As part of DG LDA instructions, he told the officers that an LDA representative should spend time with senior citizens and that senior citizens and women should have special facilities in one window cell. He also mentioned that overseas Pakistanis should have their work done as quickly as possible.
His emphasis was on the fact that citizens’ complaints should be dealt with in a timely manner; he stated that LDA was implementing a modern automated system on a single window cell.
He also stated that all citizens’ problems should be solved on a priority basis and that he would deal strictly with officers who were negligent.
