On Monday Ahmad Aziz Tarar the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general (CEO) said the law was designed and implemented to protect farmland from being converted into illegal housing companies sources. For the development of the construction sector in the city, regulations have also been passed to encourage legal housing societies investors.
Meeting with the delegation of private housing headed by Sh Amjad Manzoor LDA DG made these remarks. The challenges that private housing societies were experiencing were apprised by the delegation to DG Tarar. Also, the opportunities & reservations on the city’s new master plan were shared by the members of the committee.
He also said that a one-stop platform would be established in the LDA to address the difficulties and concerns of housing companies. He said the list of legal and illegal housing scheme projects is being posted on the LDA website for better guidance and to protect people from fraud or illegal private housing schemes.
