Islamabad: A news source reported an increase in construction material prices in tandem with the soaring increase in petroleum prices.
Petrol price increases have caused construction material prices to rise by a record amount. All construction materials have reportedly increased in price due to market dealers, as detailed in the details shared.
Previously costing Rs.840, cement bags are now being sold for Rs.1200, an increase of Rs.360. Previously, gravel cost Rs.85 per square foot. The price has increased by 45 rupees to Rs.130 per square foot.
Similar increases are also being seen in the price of sand trollies. In the new trolley charge, Rs.2,500 has been added to the amount charged per trolley. A shocking price increase of 0.206 million per ton has also been implemented on steel.
