PDWP Has Approved PC-1 Of Rs 24 Billion for The Rawalpindi Ring Road Project

Work on the Rawalpindi Ring Road project came to a standstill in April after an investigation into the R3 scandal in which former commissioner retired Capt Mohammad Mehmood and other officials for allegedly altering the configuration. But now, the project development is going to be resumed soon:

Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved Rs 24 Billion for the Ring Road Project in Rawalpindi District. The development of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project is moving along quickly, according to Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah, and Rs. 24 billion has been set up for PC-1 of the project. The Rawalpindi Ring Road would extend from N5, GT Road, Banth, and Thalian Interchange, and it would be allowed to build according to motorway regulations. He continued by stating that the Rawalpindi Ring Road would have five interchanges, passing through Chakbeli, Adiala, and Chakri Roads.
